Need an Official Record?
Use the following Bent County and Colorado channels for official records:
- Court case files: review Bent County criminal court cases or call Bent Combined Court at 719-456-1353; the clerk counter at 725 Bent Avenue is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.
- Criminal history records: use the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and its Internet Criminal History Check service
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Bent County Sheriff's Office at 719-456-1363
- Fingerprint checks: arrange Colorado Applicant Background Services through IdentoGO or Colorado Fingerprinting
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Adult sealing or juvenile expungement: use the current Colorado Judicial Branch forms and file as directed with the court that handled the case
The sheriff does not publish a separately named records division. Administrative hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; jail, patrol, and dispatch operate around the clock.
