An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
An arrest does not prove guilt. Prosecutors may decline or change charges, courts may dismiss them, and a case may end in the accused person's favor. Colorado records can also be corrected or sealed, while qualifying juvenile records may be expunged. An old copy may therefore misstate current legal status. Verify the disposition with Bent Combined Court, the Bent County Sheriff's Office, or the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, as appropriate.
Treat every record you find as a starting point, not a verdict. Only the originating agency can confirm what a record currently says and whether it is still releasable.
