1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site independent of every government office. It does not store official records, retrieve case files, perform official checks, or submit documents for users.

Its purpose is to identify the custodians of Bent County criminal records, including the sheriff, Bent Combined Court, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry, and to link to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may be criminal. Colorado Sex Offender Registry information has added statutory limits under C.R.S. § 16-22-110, and prohibited misuse may be punished under C.R.S. § 18-9-310.5. Registry data serves lawful public safety awareness, never vigilantism or discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Our advertising partners likewise do not provide linked services for regulated eligibility decisions. You must not use site or linked-tool data to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Use an FCRA-compliant provider when a legally regulated consumer report is required. An official Colorado record route may also begin with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation when authorized for the particular purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

The site provides no legal advice. General information about Bent County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, adult sealing rule, or juvenile expungement rule applies to an individual. Consult a licensed Colorado attorney for legal guidance.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

• The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
• The site will stay up and running without interruptions
• Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
• Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges may be filed or dismissed, and records may later be sealed, expunged, or corrected. Gaps are unavoidable. No page is an official statement from a court, sheriff, CBI, or another government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links to sheriff pages, court portals, Colorado agencies, legal aid groups, and outside search services lead to platforms we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, prices, or availability. Review the destination's terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Bent County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative work from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the site, its content, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, proceedings, or demands caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Colorado law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Colorado. Access to government criminal-justice records remains governed separately by the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, C.R.S. §§ 24-72-301 through 24-72-309.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A new version becomes effective when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or terminate site access at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions stay in force. The affected language will be narrowed only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.
